We’re sharing some of our favorite things about each other, memorable trips, and the little traditions that make our relationship unique. It’s a fun way to give you a glimpse into who we are as a couple, and what we love doing together.
B: I have so many favourites! One of the things I love most is how naturally we click - we share so many interests, and our energy always seems to match perfectly. Whether we’re being silly or having a deep conversation, it just feels effortless with Shwetha.
S: I have many favorite things about Bhavik, but right at the top of that list is his boundless curiosity and genuine love for learning. His energy, enthusiasm, and zest for life are infectious — they inspire me every single day.
B: Paris last year has to be one of my favourites. We're both obsessed with cheese, and we had the most incredible cheese boards and food throughout the trip. One highlight (and near disaster) was sightseeing around the Eiffel Tower on Lime (electric) bikes - let’s just say Shwetha had a few close calls, but a lot of laughs too!
S: We’ve been on so many amazing trips together, and each one has its own special memory.
From Istanbul to Las Vegas, Knysna, Rome, Milan, Vienna, Budapest, Lake Como, Paris, and Cape Town — it’s honestly impossible to pick just one!
That said, one trip that really stands out was New York, just a few weeks after we got engaged. It was partly a work trip for me, but it felt like such a dream. We both fell in love with the city and really threw ourselves into the experience — from figuring out the subway to wandering the streets like locals. Apart from Johannesburg and Reading, it’s probably the only other place that’s felt like home.
B: We love watching a good series. Shwetha is the ultimate binger who can watch the entire thing in one go, while I tend to take it a bit easier and savor it more slowly. Cooking together is another favourite pastime, where we get to experiment in the kitchen. And of course, spending time with Pablo is always a highlight whether it’s short walks or just relaxing at home.
S: Bhavik and I really are best friends - even something as routine as our weekly grocery shop turns into a fun time together.
We love trying out new foods whether thats cooking together or checking out a restaurant we’ve heard about, watching Dragons’ Den and Shark Tank, and of course, F1!
(And it’s always a bonus if any of that includes Pablo.)
*Cue a cute pic of Pablo*
B: It definitely starts with a lazy morning, having breakfast together, and just easing into the day. We really enjoy hopping on a train or taking a drive to explore somewhere new. We love trying out fun activities along the way.
S: I’m definitely a fan of stay-in, relaxed weekends - especially since our weeks tend to be so full-on. But I also love a good road trip and exploring new places in the UK, so my ideal weekend is a mix of both.
B: A “tradition” that seems to be naturally forming is spending our birthdays in a different country each year. It’s become a fun excuse to travel.
S: Since getting engaged, we’ve been intentional about nurturing our relationship — not just planning for a wedding, but building a strong marriage. One of our favorite things has become our Sunday morning check-in over breakfast. Inspired by a couple we follow, we reflect on the week gone by, talk about what we can do better, share plans for the week ahead, and end by sharing three things we appreciate about each other. It’s been such a grounding and beautiful ritual — a true game-changer for us.
B: Since we’re so far away from many of our loved ones, I'm really looking forward to having everyone in the same place, celebrating this special moment with us. But the part I’m most excited about? Marrying the love of my life.
S: Every girl dreams of her wedding day, and I’m no different. But over time, I’ve come to realize it’s not the outfit, the jewelry, or even the venue that matters most - it’s the people you’re surrounded by.
That said, I absolutely can’t wait to celebrate our love with the people we hold closest to our hearts.
And above all else - I am so excited to marry my best friend!
It’s been 7 years in the making... so let’s make this celebration one to remember!
